First, I’d like to say thank you for visiting littrean.com (“Site”) as I’m excited about the launch of my journal and like any new website there’s much more to come. I’m Bryant Littrean [lih-tree-ahn], a creative art director with a passion for photography, graphic design, performance poetry, and art. This blog serves as a place for me to publish posts relating to art, creativity, design, fashion, photography, entrepreneurship, philosophy, poetry, and just about anything else I deem worthy.
Chances are this is your first time visiting, but I’ve actually had this domain name for a while; I believe since July of 2009. For years I’ve used it for testing purposes, exercising my web development and web design skills. During this time the Site underwent multiple changes in both the exterior and interior. It was once completely static, eventually built on a custom CMS, then supported by WordPress, then completely integrated with a more fully developed custom CMS, and finally back to the most current version of WordPress (version 4.2.3.)
In the beginning, I was split between making the Site a website for my poetry, or for my design portfolio.
After trying out each individually I decided it would host both. The Site’s main purpose is to establish my identity online while showcasing my work, regardless of trade. Although it may seem like an unusual mix—poetry and design—it’s me in a nutshell.
My creative evolution started in poetry, then web development, design, and lastly photography and videography. When I wrote the sentence that’s stroked out, almost 4 years ago, I was predominantly spending my time as a web developer, poet, and graphic designer. I’m now primarily focused on photography and videography with a hint of poetry.
The CMS in which I’m currently building won’t be done (these things never really finish, they just stop being updated) for months to come but as of now it’s functional enough to have the Site up and running live. The posts in this blog will not be limited to only my writing. I am open for written submissions and would be willing to publish outside content, If you’re interested please contact me and I’ll explain the details.
I hope you enjoy your stay on littrean.com, feel free to leave a comment, and please return as I continue build upon what’s already here.
